We have an immediate opportunity for a Vulnerability Management Specialist to join our team!

Reporting to the Intel & Hunting Manager at our Cyber Intelligence Centre, the successful candidate will assist in the selection and tailoring of approaches, methods, and tools to support vulnerability management service offerings and client engagements.

What will your typical day look like?

You will:

  • Support engagement workstreams related but not limited to application security testing, infrastructure scanning, triaging, reducing false positives, coordinating scanning and testing results, and performing vulnerability remediation actions
  • Provide technical experience with solutions used across the entire TVM lifecycle, including asset management, scanning, threat intelligence, analysis, reporting, ticketing as well as the integration of those solutions
  • Support implementation and operations leading practices while taking ownership of project workstreams and/or activities & tasks
  • Perform analysis and diagnosis of client issues related to technology configuration and setup as well as procedural or process challenges
  • Contribute to deliverables and review work products for competency, quality and accuracy
  • Demonstrate an understanding of clients’ environment and overall project objectives
  • Exhibit superior organizational skills to organize, analyze, develop, and deliver detailed reports

Join our team in execution of security operations for our Cyber Security clients. Deloitte’s cyber risk practice helps clients remain vigilant and helps to defend them against emerging threats and cyber-attacks with intelligent, secure, and resilient solutions.

Our Cyber Intelligence Centre is a 24/7 managed security service monitoring and responding to cyber threats, helping organizations to protect their networks, systems, applications, information, and reputation in real-time. ​​​​​​

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You will have:

  • Exposure to vulnerability scanning tools such as Tenable Security Center, Nessus, Qualys, Rapid 7, Fortify, WebInspect, AppScan, etc
  • An understanding of vulnerability management methodologies and procedures, application and infrastructure vulnerability scanning solutions
  • Familiarity with International Standards, NIST Special Publications and Cyber Security Frameworks
  • AN understanding of how to assess risk and how to properly prioritize risks and vulnerabilities
  • Experience on Orchestration and Automation tools
  • Familiarity with using data visualization tools (e.g. Maltego, Power BI)
  • Previous experience with Splunk and/or Elastic
  • Ability to obtain secret government clearance; please review the Government of Canada website to ensure you meet the eligibility requirements
  • The following are desirable assets: Certifications in Qualys/Nessus/Rapid7, proficiency in scripting languages (Python, shell, etc.); familiarity using data visualization tools (e.g. Maltego, Power BI); network architecture
