Role Purpose: Performs minor and major repairs to all production and facility related equipment.

These repairs include instrumentation, electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities: Work with department budget and source best pricing from suppliers Prioritize HS&E in workplace and new installations Promote and participate in LEAN activities Lead 2 HS&E Audit elements Expert knowledge of FANUC Robots and programming using KAREL and RoboGuide Expert knowledge of programming TouchScreens: “Red Lion” Expert knowledge in MODICON PLC and communication protocols MODBUS PLUS, ETHERNET, Expert knowledge of ProWorks, UNITY Pro and WonderWare Support basic IT needs for the plant (basic Java knowledge) Expert knowledge of Canadian/Ontario Electrical Code Expert knowledge of Automation hardware (sensors, switches, etc.) Lead electrical PMs, equipment modifications and improvements Lead electrical installations Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a technical field Five years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to read and interpret documents and training materials such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills are required.

Must have the ability to work with basic mathematical concepts, fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions in practical situations.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, 5S, and Kaizen is a plus.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Experience as Electrical integrator is an asset
