Job Description Applications Analyst, Clinical Informatics Permanent Full-time There’s never been a better time to join Mackenzie Health As we prepare to open our state-of-the-art Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital, and continue to operate Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital, we have many opportunities available for Application Analysts who share our commitment to quality, patient-centred care.

Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Informatics, the Applications Analyst will use their clinical knowledge combined with their superior analytical skills to support Mackenzie health EMR (electronic medical record).

Additionally, they will work closely with clinical/financial/patient flow groups to enhance and improve the current use of the computer system while maintaining system standards by analyzing business operations, prioritizing and implementing requested changes, integrated system testing, collection information and details of specifications, developing and documenting policies and procedures and ensuring they act as the liaison between end users, EMR and associated third party vendors to ensure clear communication.

What must you have?

Undergraduate degree or diploma in a clinically related field; health informatics or computer science or equivalent EPIC certification in Grand Central an asset, or certification will be required within 3 months of hire.

What else do you bring?

Five years of hospital clinical and/or hospital information systems and EMR experience.

A good understanding of the patient movement processes in a hospital setting Project management skills Highly organized and detail oriented Values the importance of data quality in an EMR.

They will use their expertise and understanding of the organizational culture and clinical application experience in providing support in the delivery of care across the hospital Participate in customizing, testing, optimizing, training and implementation of applications, upgrades and enhancements to the EMR, creating and maintaining training environments and curriculums.

Rotational on-call support will be required off hours and weekends.

Strong communication and conflict-management skills Proven attendance record.

Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.

Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
