The Financial Analyst II performs a wide range of professional accounting activities requiring application of an advanced professional and competent knowledge of accounting concepts, principles and practices. Works independently under broad direction and within established accounting systems to handle specialized, relatively large assignments and resolve complex financial and/or technical problems. Key responsibilities include: performing analyses on balance sheet accounts; coordinating the preparation and analysis of monthly/quarterly/annual schedules, statements and/or reports for distribution to internal and/or external clients; liaising with internal and external clients to exchange information, provide professional/technical assistance as required; providing advanced support, as required, to facilitate management decision making; providing advanced support for the hospital’s annual interim and final audits; ensure compliance with internal controls; and, keeping informed about current and emerging accounting issues and trends, including technological changes.
