– $38.75 per hour (Commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN Compensation Policy) Hours: 35 hours per week Status: Temporary Full-time University Health Network (UHN ) is looking for an experienced professional to fill the key role of Front End Web Developer (Technical Analyst I) in our Cancer Education Department.

The Cancer Education department at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre (University Health Network) is seeking a front end web developer who wants to contribute to cancer care.

The Cancer Education program is a team of educators, coders, researchers, instructional designers, digital media and knowledge exchange specialists who aim to provide greater access to high quality, up-to-date cancer education to health care providers, trainees and patients and their families.

To be a good fit, you have a solid understanding of both front end and back end programming using modern web technologies.

You are well versed in JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 as well as have a basic understanding of PHP and backend systems specifically Moodle and SharePoint.

Experience with SASS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React JS, Backbone is required.

Qualifications: At minimum, completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or recognized equivalent required, and or a combination of education and two (2) years of experience in front end web development preferred utilizing HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

At minimum, two (2) years of practical and related experience Experience in any of the following preferred: Developed cross-browser cross-platform web sites Familiar with browser testing and debugging (at least the major three: IE, Chrome, Firefox mobile Browsers) Able to hand craft HTML/CSS/JavaScript without the help of frameworks or libraries Experience with JQuery Experienced in a major JS framework such as Angular, React, or Vue.

Experience with JS tooling and ecosystem such as Webpack, Rollup, Grunt, Babel, TypeScript, etc.

an asset Experience with Node an asset Experience writing SQL statements an asset Basic understanding of PHP and backend development preferred Experience working on Linux, Apache and MySQL Experience using Moodle and enhancing Moodle Basic understanding of SharePoint and backend development Experience in XML data structures and Web services (ie SOA).

Used some form of version control (SVN, GIT, CVS, etc) Knowledge of software development practices Experience debugging and enhancing code so that its efficient Understanding of Web Accessibility Understand Agile methodology Strong communication skills Enjoys working a part of a team If you are interested in making your contribution at UHN, please apply on-line.
