About the Role

You will be responsible for defining and enabling delivery of innovative, P2P and B2B functionality through partnering with business and technical teams. You will apply your knowledge of B2B and technology trends to shape the vision of the product and deliver features that will meet customer needs and grow sales.

As part of this role, you will coordinate across many internal and external teams. You will need to clearly articulate and describe the product features to the developers, QA, and UX/UI designers as well as the different business partners, comfortably pivoting between business, operations, and technology teams.

What will I do?

  • Transform concepts or ideas into executable plans, relaying these plans with the appropriate level of granularity to internal and external stakeholders
  • Analyze customer needs & behaviors, review competition and emerging technologies to develop insights that can be used to guide the strategy and the product roadmap
  • Conduct project discovery by interviewing key stakeholders to flush out business rules and operational specifications
  • Liaise between business owners, tech teams, internal and external partners to meet customer needs while ensuring that the strategy & vision of the product are met and aligned to the Company’s goals and tenets
  • Define & monitor the key performance indicators and continuously evaluate the performance and the growth of the product
  • Work with development agile teams to execute sprint goals
  • Participate and influence agile ceremonies including planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, team retrospectives and daily scrum
  • Lead the elaboration of epics, themes, write user stories and develop acceptance criteria
  • Manage prioritization of defects and work with teams to ensure proper resourcing and scheduling to resolve them
  • Protects the team from internal and external factors that distract from sprint goals
  • Develop expertise and provide insight on trends in B2B eCommerce, use market research, customer surveys, and other analytic data to understand the customer and business needs to identify gaps and/or new opportunities to ultimately define a product roadmap

 

Where will I work?

Our head-office is in Vaughan, ON.  We offer a hybrid work model.  There will be a requirement to work from the office during your orientation, for corporate events and when your projects require collaboration.

What qualifications do I need?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Development or related technical field.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in product management
  • 2+ years of professional software development experience
  • Experience with the software development lifecycle using Agile practices and tools such as Trello, Confluence and JIRA
  • Capable of refining strategic, technical roadmaps, and synthesizing to make improvements and recommendations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; regularly required to make presentations to stakeholders, and must clearly present, articulate, and defend research findings, design decisions, and formulated strategies to stakeholders
  • Ability to facilitate smooth collaboration and relations necessary to be successful in this role; not troubled by complications, disagreements, and unnecessary delays.
  • Exceptional relationship building skills required.  You are able to build trust among team members and convince people to collaborate and take direction.
  • Ability to continuously drive results, display a high level of confidence not just in self but in other people as well, inspire and motivate team performance.
  • You have a demonstrated ability to navigate complex situations and tasks with calmness and composure, setting an example for others.
  • Ability to innovate, think creatively, you are not afraid to explore new innovative ideas and approaches. Open to trial and error.
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment
