This is a Full-time position in Vaughan, ON posted July 30, 2022.

The Saskatchewan Cattlemens Association (SCA) provides for the effective development and promotion of the SK beef cattle industry.

The SCA provides one, unified voice for the provinces beef industry, including representation from all industry sectors and across all regions of the province.

The SCA seeks a self-motivated person to lead the organization.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in administration, government relations and strategic planning/implementation.

Experience in leading and supervising staff is a requirement.

Knowledge of and a desire to serve the cattle industry is a definite asset.

The CEO reports to the Chair of the Board.

Job Description: Support the SCA Board in carrying out the mission and strategic plan through effective management of the organization.

Major Responsibilities: 1.

Governance The CEO is accountable to the Board via the Chair.

The CEO will ensure Directors are provided with information necessary to fulfill their responsibilities.

SCA staff report to the CEO.

The CEOs annual work plan will be approved by the Chair and will be the basis for annual performance reviews.


Operational Leadership The CEO will oversee all operations of the SCA including Check Off collection, staff supervision and evaluation, communications, financial management and policy.


Strategic Planning and National influence The SCAs strategic plan is the foundation of the SCAs activities.

The CEO will ensure it is relevant and up to date.

Ensuring Saskatchewan cattle producer needs are met by national organizations funded by Saskatchewan levies is also part of SCAs role and the CEO will ensure SCAs voice is heard at the right places by the right people.
