This includes researching, help designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production life cycle.

The Junior Systems Analyst will also help analyze and amend software errors in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide status reports where required.

This position requires an ability to create and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic or scheduled form.

Must have analytical and problem-solving skills and an intense desire to learn, understanding of coding methods and best practices.

Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.

Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is desirable.

Key Responsibilities Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with the safety policies of Karmax.

Perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with Section 28 of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations for Industrial Establishments.

Follow Magna’s Code of Conduct and Ethics and related compliance policies Assists in the feasibility studies for the establishment of new or revised systems and procedures.

Carries out systems analysis and design at a junior level.

Formulates logical statements of operational, administrative or financial problems using structured systems design techniques.

Ensures that the resulting design meets the operational needs and requirements of the users.

Employs iterative proto-typing techniques in the development of systems.

Assists other staff on all systems and procedures to ensure conformance to standards.

Assists in designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents new and existing programs in accordance with departmental programming and development standards.

Keeps current with PC and mainframe software and hardware technology and understands emerging trends.

Assists the project leader and assists other staff involved in the detailed design and coding of system projects.

Attends code reviews with more senior and junior developers.

Perform all duties in an environmentally responsible manner in accordance with the Karmax Environmental Policy Statement-3 P’s.

Prevent Pollution, Preserve Natural Resources & Protect our Environment Perform other duties as required.

Additional Information Must be able to work in various locations within and outside the Manufacturing Plant Must be able to work schedule/unschedule overtime On-call after hours support (rotation) Exposed periodically to elements such as temperature and noise Office environment within a manufacturing operation Minimum Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Math 1 year of applicable experience Pursuit of a certification in a related discipline.
