Our 60 Endocrinologists, many of whom are nationally renowned for their areas of expertise, are supported by an interdisciplinary team of highly qualified Medical Office Administrators, Medical Assistants, Registered Nurses, Registered Dietitians, Physician Assistants, Pharmacists, Optometrists, Opticians, Optical Assistants, Chiropodists and Clinical Research Professionals.

Position Function: Currently, our growing team is looking for an Optician who can work with us on a permanent full-time basis at our LMC Brampton Optometry location.

Essential Functions: Help customers find the best and most suitable products that meet their needs Take measurements, fit, adjust, repair & dispense eyeglasses, contact lenses and speciality eyewear Order and receive product Conduct pretest procedures on patients to help make eye appointments more efficient Work in partnership with an Optometrist to serve the needs of your clients Collaborate with the broader inter-professional team to ensure an outstanding customer experience, including Endocrinologists, Nurses, Diabetes Educators, Pharmacists, Chiropodists Work in collaboration with your team members to maximize store profits Meet and exceed optical sales targets Education and Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in an optical environment and customer service role Optician License in Ontario and in good standing with the governing college Strong organization and time management skills in a retail environment Excellent interpersonal, communication decision making and problem-solving skills Proficiency in use of computers Flexible and adaptable with your customer’s needs Able to troubleshoot with patients issues with new eyewear Ability to take initiative with projects and ideas for marketing, efficiency and process improvements to help grow the business Ability to work in a team environment A proven track record in sales is a definite asset, we are looking for someone who enjoys this challenge and speaking Punjabi would be helpful Edging experience would also be an asset Student opticians are welcome to apply Access to a vehicle is preferred LMC provides six industry-leading programs areas: Endocrinology Specialist Practice (publicly-funded)
