Talent Acqusition Specialist


This is a Full-time position in Vaughan, ON posted August 12, 2019.

Employment : Permanent of Openings : 1 Classification : Property Industry:Property Our client, the largest distributor of industrial supplies are looking to hire for a Talent Acquisition Specialist (Sourcer), this roles consist of 3 aspects; 1-Sourcing & Pipelining for our team (50% of the time) 2-Administrative work, helping with Background check, offer generation, reporting, system administration (30%) 3-Project base related, such as New launch of the Employee Referral Program, Behavioral interview training, ATS enhancements, etc.

(20%) This role is based out of the Anjou, Montreal location, we need someone bilingual and reports directly to me.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will support, source and partner with the Talent Acquisition team in an effort to maximize the hiring experience through superior project management, continuous improvement, proactive sourcing/pipelining and critical thinking skills.

This role reports to the Manager, Talent Acquisition.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible to identify top talent through different sourcing channels, pipelining passive/active candidates for our future hiring needs.

The selected candidate will also balance a high volume of candidates through the interviewing process and offer management (inclusive of compliance checks), managing departmental projects designed to improve the hiring process or experience, and making recommendations, and executing, on the team’s hiring strategy.

This individual will utilize project management, independent thinking to solve problems and make decisions, and continuous improvement skills to improve the quality of the Talent Acquisition processes and ensure candidates, hiring managers and interview teams are having the best experience.

Demonstrate exceptional project management skills through the following: o Develop work plan to support Talent Acquisition Consultants on a daily basis o Create and maintain necessary documentation for tracking of hiring and project management work, including project plans, process documents and policies.

o Collaborate with Consultants, TA Leadership, and hiring managers to develop customer focused hiring plan o Proactively manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project or the hiring process o Successfully meets deadlines while leading, or participating on, intradepartmental project teams Embody continuous improvement focus and skills through: o Provides strategy recommendations through analysis of key trends with candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers.

• Display excellent communication, independent thinking, and critical decision making by o Communicating effectively with a diverse audience, exercising professionalism, with all internal business partners and external candidates o Challenging Talent Acquisition Consultants and internal partners if hiring process is not followed o Exercise strong problem-solving skills but know when to escalate issues with vendors, team members, or internal partners as needed.

o Supports hiring decisions or recommendations based on Background/Drug Check Responsible for sourcing/pipelining in a proactive recruitment approach: o Identifying, sourcing and qualifying candidates from internal and external databases and sources such as LinkedIn, Indeed, CareerBuilder, Boolean searches, etc.

o Interacting with potential candidates on social media and professional networks o Utilize modern technology systems for marketing, Search Engine Optimization, brand awareness, Pay per click, Artificial Intelligence, predictive analytics, ATS, engagement campaigns o Interviewing and evaluating prospective job seekers (both passive and active) o Maintain candidate databases using our Applicant Tracking System o Build and effectively manage multiple talent pipelines of pre-qualified candidates for future hiring needs o Provide pre-screening support for the Talent Acquisition team & sourcing firms o Conduct any testing to our internal/external candidates o Perform specific recruitment searches for the Talent Acquisition team Responsible for Candidate management and hiring process ownership with the following processes: o Candidate tracking through applicant tracking system o Coordinate and Schedule Interviews (phone and in-person) o Travel and Expenses o Audit and track pre-hire process (background, drug screen, references) o Management, collation, communication and storage of candidate information new hire documents within the applicant tracking system o Provides interview materials for candidates, interview teams, and hiring managers BA or equivalent preferred
• 3-5 years of related experience required
• Demonstrate high sense of urgency, strong work ethic and can manage ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent project management, event planning, organizational and facilitation skills with strong attention to detail and minimal amount of direct supervision.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to establish effective relationships with internal/ external customers, business partners, and colleagues.

•Hands-on experience with sourcing techniques and channels
•Ability to positively articulate our opportunities through our company and roles to potential candidates
• Exceptional customer service skills while managing multiple priorities
• Ability to work on cross-functional teams and foster team commitment to tasks.

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks in an interrupt and deadline driven atmosphere
• Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System or CRM is a plus
