Technical Test lead

To learn more about CIBC, please visit Job Description What you’ll be doing You’ll be joining CIBC’s Frontline Technology.

You’ll be hands on with all aspects of the systems testing process and provide suggestions that will ensure client needs are met with the highest quality.

As a Test Lead, you’ll be a team lead on CIBC’s Technology team, assigning and overseeing the execution of test cases and providing coaching to your team members.

You’ll create Test Strategy, test plans, develop strategies, and provide estimates that will help create the bank of the future.

How You’ll Succeed: Planning and Coordination
– Interact with stakeholders, end users, business/test analysts, and technical resources to gather requirements and prepare test specifications as instructed by senior team members.

Responsible for creating Automation and API test cases and execution.

Drive Automated Testing: Create, maintain and execute test automation scripts; contribute to the development of test automation frameworks to drive continuous improvement.

Report and manage software concerns and test activities throughout the software development lifecycle.

Provide status of testing, communicate issues, implement QA standards and policies, and communicate QA schedule.

Teamwork & Partnering: Ability to establish and build healthy working relations and partnerships with clients, vendors and peers.

You will work with partners internally to understand the automation needs and process flows required as well as internally/externally managing automation solutions with vendor teams as required.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking
– Demonstrate knowledge of tools and techniques for effective use of a broad range of factors, assumptions, frameworks and perspectives when solving problems.

Collaboration: Work with business and technical teams to establish test plans, standards, and procedures that add value to software project and satisfy the constraints of the project by reviewing project documentation.

Testing: Execute tests and ensure results achieve documented goals and objectives.

Monitor & Reporting: Monitor project adherence to quality standards and provide status reporting as needed.

Adhere to CIBC’s processes through all phases of the software development life cycle.

Leadership Skills
– Offer guidance and support.

Provide tactical, informed recommendations to senior management, and keep up to date on current technology trends.

Who You Are You can demonstrate experience and strong skills in functional automated testing methodologies.

You ‘re an expert in automation and software process improvement through 5 years of experience in application system manual or automation testing and quality assurance.

2-3 years’ experience with Selenium.

2-3 years’ experience with any of the following HP ALM, Jira, SOAP UI, Parasoft SOATest, scripting languages including Python, Java, or equivalent.

Previous experience in a software testing capacity with automation exposure.

Experience working with databases and exposure to testing complex User Interfaces and User Experience journeys via user interfaces.

It’s an asset if you have experience with Model Based Testing.

It is an advantage if you have experience within an Agile environment and ConformiQ.
