Position Overview Reporting to the President of The Pickle Barrel, the Director, Event Sales will be responsible for developing and expanding our Sales teams and building strategies for future growth in order to facilitate growth of the brand.

Goals and Responsibilities Manage, coach and lead a team of Account Managers to focus on increasing market share; Work cross functionally within Recipe to leverage various teammate’s expertise Review financial statements and data to improve operations efficiency Prepare and control operational budgets Work with the direct purchasing department to develop strategies for inventory and cost control and recommend effective strategies for the financial well-being of the brand Work with the direct purchasing department to develop strategies for inventory and cost control and recommend effective strategies for the financial well-being of the brand Assist in the recruitment and selection of required teammates and appropriately delegate tasks and accountabilities Establish a collaborative working philosophy and inclusive team culture Lead & coach teammates and monitor & evaluate performance in partnership with other team leaders Develop and grow the Sales team through motivation, counselling, and product knowledge sessions Work with senior management to set revenue and sales goals on a monthly and quarterly basis and build strategies to achieve set goals Manage sales by developing a business plan that encompasses sales, revenue and cost control Maintain relationships with existing venues in Ontario while also sourcing new venues and extending our range and reach Work cross-functionally with various stakeholders, including Operations, Accounting and Culinary, to ensure the vision and plans surrounding the business are understood and teammates are motivated to engage and land key initiatives Experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major Proven experience in successfully executing large scale catering and prestigious events Natural leader who loves to lead their team in growing revenue by prospecting, selling and developing people 8 years experience as a direct sales leader/manager in a hospitality company Strong track record of achieving sales targets across teams and individually Skilled in managing and coaching through the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing Comfortable leveraging sales methodologies and linking with operations Ability to function in a “Player/Coach” capacity Compelling leader who can effectively coach individually and drive team motivation Analytical thinker and metrics-driven mentality Excellent communication and presentation skills Go-getter, entrepreneurial spirit What’s in it for you?: Flexible/Hybrid work environment You’d be joining a close-knit, innovative team of creative and energetic go-getters You’d be a part of Canada’s largest full-service restaurant company that leads the industry in size and innovation 20% associate discount dining card and monthly dining allowance valid at participating Recipe brands A welcoming, fun and safe work environment founded on respect Career advancement opportunities with a company that owns some of Canada’s most iconic restaurant brands Industry-leading benefits, wellness programs, and total rewards programs Recipe is committed to providing a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace.
