Director, Agile Enablement

Director, Agile Enablement The opportunity The Director, Agile Enablement works with senior partners across the organization to develop and drive the adoption of Agile strategies and practices.

This includes ensuring Teachers’ Agile principles are embedded in OTPP’s culture, and that Agile supports targeted outcomes of speed-to-value, delivery reliability, business partner satisfaction, and employee engagement.

Who you’ll work with The Director, Agile Enablement leads a team of Agile professionals (Coaches and Scrum Masters) who orchestrate the design and operation of Agile product and services teams throughout the organization.

The Director plays a meaningful role in ongoing transformation to and maturity of Agile at Teachers’, and is accountable for ensuring the business outcomes aligned to Agile delivery are achieved.

What you’ll do Progress OTPP’s transformation to Teacher’s Agile by sustainably onboarding new Agile teams and maturing all Agile teams.

Validate and ensure appropriate progress towards higher-level business outcomes of growing speed-to-value, delivery reliability, business partner satisfaction and employee engagement.

Work with senior leadership to develop strategies that instill an awareness of Agile principles and values throughout the organization Lead the development and refinement of Teachers’ Agile coaching framework, including oversight of continuous improvement and updates required for the enterprise training curriculum to address skill and behaviour gaps Lead the evolution of Agile thinking and behaviours and enable Agile Coaches, Scrum Masters & Product Owners to be change advocates that champion and spread Agile ways of working Establish and utilize appropriate measurement frameworks to assess the progress of the Teachers’ Agile transformation.

Use the measurement results to refine strategies, approaches and plans accordingly Working with internal and external partners as required, ensure Agile methodologies and the overall Teacher’s Agile Playbook remain relevant and are consistently practiced by Agile teams Develop Agile adoption benefit objectives and target measures, including a framework for measuring & reporting at both the individual squad level and the organizational level Work with delivery leadership and P&C to implement change management strategies in support of ongoing Agile transformation Partner with the organization’s Strategic Planning group to develop and sustain a funding model that aligns to a product-centric organization Drive the organization toward greater enterprise agility through identifying and partnering with other departments to address organizational impediments to Agile Lead all aspects of recruitment, and onboarding of Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters required to enable and sustain Agile at OTPP Mentor and build capability of Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters to help them continuously improve squad performance.

Build an environment where Agile values and underlying principles are the common ground used to address specific delivery challenges and opportunities Provide guidance on the coaching of key Agile roles (e.g.

Product Owners, Chapter Leads, vendor partners etc.) to continuously improve squad performance Provide ongoing coaching, support, and mentorship to squad members and business stakeholders including OTPP Executives Collaborate with leadership to craft and execute Agile team scaling plans, including ongoing allocation of Coaches and Scrum Masters.

Actively lead and supervise the allocation of Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to teams that deliver business outcomes while effectively managing costs Develop and execute coaching strategies and plans with supported Agile teams; including the alignment with teams on strategy and support requirements Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports and development planning for these individuals.

Ensure the delivery of accountabilities, duties and responsibilities prescribed for their role Support the Managing Director, BA & QA by leading the Agile Enablement annual budget What you’ll need Relevant university degree Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, values, and principles Relevant professional Agile designations desirable (e.g.

CSM, CSPO) Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with excellent communications and people-interaction skills, leading to co-creating collaborative solutions and opportunities for individual and organization growth Ability to understand, empathize and bridge multiple perspectives e.g.
