Working Arrangement Hybrid Job Description The Director, GWAM Records Management will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of physical records management archiving across the entire Global Wealth and Asset Management (GWAM) Segment within Manulife/John Hancock and have accountability for physical records management within GWAM Operations specifically.

In this role, the Director will assist multiple diverse business units across various geographical areas with managing physical records throughout their lifecycle to ensure compliance to company policies and best practices Responsibilities Develop and maintain a comprehensive GWAM Segment Archiving Records Management Program Work in partnership with other stakeholders (Compliance, Risk, Tax, Legal) to develop formal GWAM records archiving and other relevant policies Actively promote records management best practices by acting as the key GWAM Segment records management contact/SME providing guidance to business units on topics such as records classification schema application and retention requirements Work directly with business units to review and destroy archived records following company document destruction protocols Chair the GWAM Segment Archiving Council meetings KRI/KPI metric development to monitor GWAM Segment compliance with the Corporate Records and Information Management Policy Participate in various Corporate Records Management initiatives Knowledge and Experience Master’s degree in Archival Studies, Library or Information Sciences or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred Minimum 4 years’ experience working in a corporate Investment Segment records management setting preferred Knowledge of applicable Investment/Financial related legislation, policies, and best practices regarding the management of inactive records at both on and offsite locations Experience running large scale records archival and destruction projects Ability to work in a global business setting with multiple lines of business Ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks within stated guidelines and deadlines with competing priorities Ability to analyze and organize large volumes of data Exceptional written, communication, and presentation skills Ability to engage colleagues to foster a supportive and positive work environment What can we offer you?
