Job Description About the Role As a Director, Security Engineering Maturity, Strategy & Innovation, you will be accountable for building and executing the overall strategy for Security Engineering and for enhancing the maturity of key Security Engineering functions across Thomson Reuters.

You will partner with the Security Engineering leadership team and Information Security Risk Management leaders to drive innovation.

About You In this opportunity as a Director , Security Engineering Maturity you will : Be a Thought Leader: Knowledge of industry best practices, security technologies and how they relate to organizational security posture.

You understand security policies, standards, risk management and governance practices intended to ensure the protection of the organization’s technical assets.

Be a Change Leader: Embrace and champion change and continuous improvement.

You keep abreast of the latest trends and continuously improve your knowledge.

Be a stakeholder manager: You develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships, being able to work across a variety of stakeholders (eg.

Information Security & Risk Management teams, Product Engineering, Infrastructure Hosting & Networks, Digital, Employees & Partners, etc…) to gather input, facilitate discussions, review materials, solve problems and build consensus.

Be a strong communicator: You are a strong communicator, with a drive and ability to drive change.

You have the ability to synthesize information security content and simplify down to key messages that can be easily communicated.

Design and deliver: You are a bold and accountable leader who can deliver multiple programs.

Qualifications You’re a fit for the role of a Director , Security Engineering Maturity if you have: Required Skills A passion for innovation combined with an “engineering mindset” Experience designing and executing strategies, roadmaps, and target operating models Ability in managing multiple projects, while meeting deadlines and managing key issues & risks Leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively and build consensus in a multi-functional team environment Problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment Strong communication (verbal/written) and good interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders Ability to drive change across a large number of stakeholders Understanding and applying risk management principles to effectively manage cyber risk Ability to gain commitment, trust and support from others and be able to sell ideas inside and outside the organization Challenge status quo Exhibit a mindset of creativity, determination, and an energetic drive to succeed Track record of setting and meeting aggressive goals and action plans, both as an individual and with a team Strong business, financial acumen Preferred Skills Previous experience in management consulting or strategy development & execution in a large organization Industry recognized certification in security (e.g., CISSP, CISA, etc.) Excellent knowledge and relevant experience in security domains related to Identity and Access Management, End Point Protection, Network Security and Email/Office 365 Security Experience of working with new and disruptive technologies in information security What’s in it for you At Thomson Reuters, our people are our greatest assets.
