Role Summary/Purpose The Services Product Manager is responsible for setting the strategic direction for their assigned product lines.
He/She will define that strategy based on market entitlement, state of the art of technology and customer expectations in coordination with the respective functions and regional teams.
The Product Manager will interact with the O.E.
Product Managers and is the services representative in the Product Management process.
Key responsibilities are to: Maximize the Product aftermarket business value with targets on orders, revenue, cost & margin, and market share of service business for their assigned product(s) Lead the Services vision of the Product with the O.E.
Gather customers’ needs and expectations towards service activities per product Identifies market trends and assess opportunities for innovations Drives the market intelligence and competitors’ analysis by Product Collect REX from each product in project phase to further improve future product/services solutions Define the Product aftermarket strategy and roadmap Define and develop its portfolio of products and service solutions.
Ensures standard products/services are used in tenders and projects Steers the continuous competitiveness improvement of Product/Services, including: LCC, RAMS, engineering, manufacturing, methods, suppliers Develop business cases and product/services plans for the selection, definition, development, validation, scheduling and introduction to the market of an innovation.
Share the vision, strategy and roadmap with the stakeholders (O.E., Regions and team members) Establish strong working relationship with KAM and sales, Engineering, technical product manager to support the strategy, best practices sharing and scaling up business models, innovations, and best practices across regions.
Support and train regions teams in product business knowledge Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or applicable MBA strongly preferred.
5 years of experience in product management, sales, business development and/or P&L responsibility, ideally in rail market and/or OEM suppliers Capabilities/skills: Strong communication skills, Impact and influencing Strategic thinking Self-starter, willing to drive own initiatives international experience Result oriented Strong leadership Wabtec provides a competitive total compensation package that includes a comprehensive employee benefits program.
Wabtec also contributes Annual and Matching contributions to your 401(k) account to help your savings grow.
Each pay period, Wabtec will match 100% of your contribution up to a maximum of 3% of your eligible compensation.
Wabtec also will make an Annual Contribution of 3% of your compensation, whether or not you contribute your own funds to the Savings Plan.
