Vice President, Regional Care Integration Fraser Health (FH) is responsible for the delivery of hospital and community-based health services to over 1.9 million people in 20 diverse communities from Burnaby to Fraser Canyon on the traditional territories of the Coast Salish and Nlaka’pamux Nations.

We are seeking a dynamic Vice President, Regional Care Integration , who is passionate about improving patient care for our communities.

Reporting directly to the President and CEO, the Vice President will be a clear, caring, and courageous leader who oversees the development and implementation of strategies to improve access to an integrated and coordinated approach to primary care, acute care, and community services.

This senior leadership role provides a unique opportunity to build collaborative networks and ensure solution-driven results to meet the needs across our health region.

The Vice President, Regional Care Integration is accountable for: Working in partnership with members of the Executive Team and leaders across Fraser Health to provide strategy and leadership to achieve goals and outcomes of the Fraser Health Strategic Operating Plan; designate priorities, develop performance objectives, implement current and long range strategies, and ensure operational requirements; Providing oversight and leadership in the areas of clinical and program requirements to support services of Community Hospitals and the health care needs of the Health Services Community of the portfolio; Assessing, evaluating, and implementing operational plans across the region for Mental Health & Substance Use services, Primary Care, Chronic Disease Management, Integrated Long Term Care & Assisted Living, and Integrated Community Services such as Home Health, Home Support and Palliative Care; Providing leadership to build awareness, teamwork and engagement that maximizes the success of Fraser Health’s services, operations and its people; Representing Fraser Health and the programs of the portfolio when liaising with levels of government, external agencies, interest groups and the general public on medical and respective portfolio /program issues; Overseeing the planning and implementation of plans for Primary Care across Fraser Health.

The successful candidate will have: A Master’s Degree in Health, Business Administration or a related field; Senior leadership experience in a complex health organization, with a focus on the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex service delivery systems.

Detailed Overview Reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Vice President is a member of the Executive Team and is jointly accountable for the attainment Fraser Health’s operating strategies and priorities.

The Vice President leads the implementation of plans for community and primary care services as well as integrating acute and community services across the health authority.

The Vice President provides senior executive leadership to the following programs: Acquired Brain Injury Program (ABI) Choice in Supports for Independent Living (CSIL) Chronic Disease Management Community Living BC (CLBC) Frail & Older Adults Home Health Mental Health & Substance Use Palliative Care/End of Life Care Primary Care implementation Residential Care & Assisted Living The Vice President holds responsibility to participate in leading the strategic direction for designated programs and works in conjunction with the Fraser Health Executives and senior leaders across clinical and support portfolios.

Responsibilities Participate as a member of the Executive Team, holds accountability to provide strategy and leadership for Fraser Health to achieve goals and outcomes of the Fraser Health Strategic Operating Plan, designated priorities and both long and short range goals.

Oversees and ensures programs and services are designed, integrated, operated, and the results measured and reported in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and attainment of outcome goals.

Liaises with colleagues to ensure integration of strategies, operations and policies.

Reports on performance of programs, and broader community needs.

Oversees the planning and implementation plans for Primary Care across Fraser Health for transfer of responsibility to the appropriate community leadership.

Works in partnership with members of the Executive Team and leaders across Fraser Health to lead and communicate strategies, operational plans and policies.

Ensures appropriate linkage with the community served or issues related to effective program delivery.

Represents Fraser Health, and the programs of the portfolio, in discussions, meetings, consensus building and negotiations as required for the effective development and operations of the health care programs, Provides leadership to build awareness, teamwork and engagement that maximizes the success of Fraser Health’s services, operations and its people.

Ensures high standards of practice are set and maintained for programs and operations.

Models LEADS capabilities as a senior leader within Fraser Health.

Develops an organizational structure, a human resource and a financial plan, program and performance objectives to support attainment of current and long range strategies and operational requirements.

Develops and oversees, in conjunction with the Executive Team and portfolio and program leadership, capital and operating budget plans.

Assesses and evaluates and makes decisions on the allocation of financial and human resources to maximize the provisions of services within the approved financial mandate.

Provides oversight and leadership in the areas of clinical and program requirements to support services of Community Hospitals and the health care needs of the Health Services Community of the portfolio.

Provides senior leadership to advance the standards for healthcare professionals; oversees and recommends adjustments to practice and standards; evaluates compliance and impact of standards on health services.

Represents Fraser Health on programs and services.

Liaises and represents Fraser Health will all levels of government, external agencies, interest groups and the general public on medical and respective portfolio /program issues.

Qualifications Education and Experience Master’s Degree in Health, Business Administration or a related field.

Fifteen (15) years or more of recent, related experience including that at the senior leadership level of a complex health organization involving leadership of the development, implementation and evaluation of complex service delivery systems.
